My undergraduate and graduate degrees, from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, are in Music. I earned my General Music Education license from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and my Choral Music License from Edgewood College in Madison. 

I am certified K-12 for Choral and General Music. I have taught for over 30 years in the public school system, most of that time in the Madison School District in Wisconsin.

My YouTube channel started as a way to help my students at school who were struggling to read music and learn recorder through reading the notes.  Today, my YouTube channel consists of recorder and piano tutorials, elementary music activities, as well as piano and vocal performances. 

I grew up with a sister who had severe cognitive and physical disabilities. This in conjunction with my 30+ years teaching experience with literally hundreds of students with special needs has made me an expert in adapting music for students with disabilities. I would love to share with you what I have learned.
